Review Links Settings
Configure multiple review platforms (Google, Facebook, Yelp, etc.) for post-job review requests
On this page
Overview
Review Links Settings lets you configure multiple review platforms where customers can leave feedback after jobs are completed. Instead of a single Google review URL, you can now add multiple review pages (Google, Facebook, Yelp, etc.) and choose which one to use when sending review requests or invoices. If the review links table doesn't exist yet in your database, the settings page will load gracefully with an empty list and a yellow banner explaining that the feature is initializing.

How Review Links Work
Post-Job Review Requests
When a job is completed:
- 24 hours after completion, BlueClerk sends an automatic review request email
- The default review page is used in the email
- Customer clicks the link and leaves a review on your chosen platform
- If no default is set, the legacy Google review URL is used as fallback
On Invoices and Estimates
When you send an invoice or estimate:
- The email footer includes a review request link
- Uses the default review page from your settings
- Customer can click after paying to leave feedback
Legacy Google Review URL
If you had a Google review URL configured before review links were added:
- It still works as a fallback when no review pages exist
- It appears in settings as a read-only legacy field
- You can add it as a review page to manage it alongside others
- Once you add review pages, the new system takes over
Database Initialization
If you see a yellow banner saying "Review links are initializing":
- The feature tables are being created in your database
- This happens automatically during first-time setup or schema changes
- You can continue using BlueClerk while initialization completes
- The page will load normally once the tables are ready
- No action needed - just wait a few moments and refresh
Tips
- Set a default - Ensures consistent review platform usage across all customer communications
- Multiple platforms - Add Google, Facebook, and Yelp to give customers options
- Test links - Click your review URLs to verify they lead to the correct page
- Update regularly - Keep URLs current if your review pages change
- Sort by importance - Put your most important review platform at the top
Questions
Q: What happens if I delete my default review page? A: BlueClerk automatically unsets the default. You'll need to set a new default or the system will fall back to the legacy Google review URL.
Q: Can I have multiple default review pages? A: No - only one review page can be the default at a time. The most recently set default overrides previous ones.
Q: What if I don't have any review pages set up? A: BlueClerk falls back to the legacy Google review URL from your company settings. If that's also empty, no review request is included in customer emails.
Q: Why am I seeing a yellow banner about initialization? A: The review links database table is being created for the first time. This is normal during initial setup or after schema changes. The page will work normally once initialization completes - just refresh after a few moments.
Q: Can I use the same URL for multiple review pages? A: Technically yes, but it's not recommended - each review page should have a unique URL pointing to a different platform.
