Punch Overview Portfolio

Overview

The Punch Overview page is your daily home screen as a builder - a portfolio view showing punch list status across all properties with critical item alerts, progress tracking, and closeout readiness. Properties are automatically sorted by urgency (critical items first), making it easy to prioritize your day and ensure no major issues are overlooked.

Accessing Punch Overview

1. Log in to your builder account
2. Click "Punch Overview" at the top of the sidebar
3. View portfolio summary with stats and property cards

Portfolio Stats

At the top of the page, you'll see quick counts:

• Properties: Total properties with punch items
• Critical Open: Number of critical-severity items not yet resolved (highlighted in red if > 0)
• Total Open: All open punch items across your portfolio
• Verified: Completed items you've verified as fixed

Property Cards

Each property shows:

• Property address and subdivision
• Critical item count (red badge if > 0)
• Total open items
• Total verified items
• Progress bar showing completion percentage
• Closeout status badge if property is ready for closeout
• Visual indicators:
  • Red left border if critical items are open
  • Green left border if property is closeout-ready

Properties are automatically sorted:

1. Critical items first - Properties with open critical items appear at the top
2. Then by open item count - Properties with more open items rank higher
3. Closeout-ready properties - Properties with all items verified appear with a special badge

Quick Actions

• Click any property card to open that property's detail page
• View punch list tab to see all items for that property
• Take action on individual items inline

When to Use Punch Overview

• Daily standup - Start your day by reviewing critical items
• Project prioritization - See which properties need attention
• Team coordination - Identify which contractors need to be called
• Closeout planning - Track which properties are ready for final walkthrough

Tips

• Check critical items daily - Red badges indicate urgent issues that may block progress
• Track progress bars - Visual progress helps you see which properties are moving forward
• Use closeout badges - Properties marked "Closeout Ready" can be scheduled for final walkthrough

Questions

Q: What makes an item "critical"? A: Critical severity indicates a safety hazard or code violation that must be fixed before occupancy.

Q: Why is a property marked "Closeout Ready"? A: All punch items have been verified as complete and the property is ready for final walkthrough and handoff.

Q: Can I filter or search properties? A: Not yet - properties are auto-sorted by urgency. Use the search in the main properties list if you need to find a specific address.

Q: What if I have no punch items yet? A: You'll see a message prompting you to go to a property and start a punch walk.
