Managing Contractor Leads
Track and manage sales leads through your pipeline
Overview
Contractor leads help you track potential customers from first contact through to winning (or losing) the sale. BlueClerk's lead management system organizes prospects in a simple pipeline: New → Contacted → Qualified → Won/Lost.

Understanding Lead Statuses
New
First contact - leads you haven't reached out to yet. These could come from voice commands, manual entry, referrals, or your website.
Contacted
You've reached out but haven't qualified them yet. They know you exist and you're in conversation.
Qualified
They're a real opportunity - budget confirmed, need is clear, timeline is reasonable.
Won
You got the job! This lead became a paying customer.
Lost
They went with someone else or the opportunity fell through.

Questions
Q: What's the difference between a lead and a customer? A: A lead is a potential customer you're pursuing. Once you create a ticket or job for them, they become a customer in BlueClerk.
Q: Can I convert a lead to a customer? A: Yes - when you're ready to do work, create a ticket or job and BlueClerk will automatically create the customer record from your lead information.
Q: Where do voice-added leads come from? A: When you use voice commands like "Add lead John Smith at 123 Main St", BlueClerk creates a lead with source set to VOICE and includes any details you mentioned.
Q: How do I track estimated deal value? A: Add the estimated job value when creating or editing a lead. You can filter and sort by this to prioritize high-value opportunities.
