Configure your company information, logo, and services offered

Overview

Your company profile is how customers see you on BlueClerk. A complete profile builds trust and makes it easier for homeowners and builders to find and choose your services. Take a few minutes to fill it out completely - it's worth the investment.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Access Company Settings

  1. Log in to your BlueClerk account
  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
  3. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu
  4. Click "Company Profile" in the sidebar

Basic Information

Company Name

  • Your business name as you want customers to see it
  • This appears on invoices, estimates, and your public profile

Company Logo

  • Drag and drop an image or click to browse
  • See a preview before uploading
  • Recommended: square image, at least 200x200 pixels
  • Your logo appears on invoices, estimates, and your public profile

Description

  • Brief overview of your business (up to 1000 characters)
  • What makes you unique?
  • Services you specialize in
  • Years in business or key credentials
  • This appears on your public profile page

Website

  • Your company website URL
  • Include "https://" at the beginning
  • Appears on your public profile with a clickable link

Contact Information

Contact Name

  • Primary contact person for your business
  • Often the owner or office manager

Contact Phone

  • Main business phone number
  • Where customers can reach you

Contact Email

  • Primary email for inquiries and communications
  • Used for customer correspondence

Address

Street Address

  • Your business address
  • Line 1 and Line 2 (optional) for suite numbers

City, State, Zip

  • Complete address information
  • Helps customers find local contractors

Public Profile

Custom URL Slug

  • Create a memorable web address for your public profile
  • Example: blueclerk.com/yourcompany
  • 3-50 characters
  • Only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens
  • Must be unique across BlueClerk
  • Once you save a slug, customers can find your profile at that address

Slug Validation

  • ✓ Green checkmark = available
  • ✗ Red X = already taken
  • Checks as you type

Services Offered

Select Your Trades

  • Check all services your company provides
  • Organized by category (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
  • Multiple selections allowed
  • Helps customers find you for relevant work

Customer Types

  • Who you work with: Homeowners, Builders, or Businesses
  • Multiple selections allowed
  • Affects which job requests you see in the marketplace

Saving Changes

  1. Review all information for accuracy
  2. Click the blue "Save Changes" button at the bottom
  3. Wait for confirmation - you'll see a success message
  4. Your public profile is now live at your custom URL

Your Public Profile Page

Once published, your public profile includes:

Hero Section

  • Your logo or company initials
  • Company name and location
  • Description

Services

  • All your trades displayed as organized badges
  • Grouped by category (e.g., Electrical, Plumbing)

Contact Information

  • Phone, email, website with clickable icons
  • Full address with map icon

Call to Action

  • "Request a Quote" button (visitors must log in)
  • Powered by BlueClerk footer

SEO & Sharing

  • Page title includes your company name
  • Description for search engines and social media
  • Your logo appears when profile is shared

Tips

  • Complete everything: Full profiles get more customer interest
  • Professional photo: A clear logo builds trust
  • Accurate trades: Only select services you actually provide
  • Update regularly: Keep contact info current
  • Share your URL: Use your custom URL in marketing materials

Questions

Q: Can I change my slug later? A: Yes, but your old URL will stop working. Update any places you've shared the link.

Q: Who can see my public profile? A: Anyone with the URL can view it, but they must be logged in to BlueClerk to request quotes or see full contact details.

Q: Why does it say my slug is taken? A: Each slug must be unique. Try adding your city name or a variation of your company name.

Q: What if I don't want a public profile? A: Leave the slug field empty. You can still use BlueClerk for job management without a public profile.

Q: Does my profile appear in search engines? A: Yes, your public profile has SEO meta tags and can be indexed by Google and other search engines.
