Setting Up Your Company Profile

Configure your company information, logo, and services offered

Overview

Your company profile is how customers see you on BlueClerk. A complete profile builds trust and makes it easier for homeowners and builders to find and choose your services. Take a few minutes to fill it out completely - it's worth the investment.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Access Company Settings

  1. Log in to your BlueClerk account
  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
  3. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu
  4. Click "Company Profile" in the sidebar

Basic Information

Fill in your essential business details:

  1. Company Name - Your official business name as you want it to appear on invoices and profiles

  2. Company Type - Select:

    • Contractor (service providers)
    • Builder (new construction)
    • Business (commercial operations)
  3. Contact Information:

    • Business phone number
    • Business email address
    • Physical address (street, city, state, ZIP)
  4. Website - Add your company website URL if you have one

Upload Your Logo

  1. Click the logo placeholder or "Upload Logo" button
  2. Select an image file from your computer (PNG, JPG, or SVG)
  3. Crop or adjust if needed
  4. Save your changes

Your logo appears on:

  • Your public profile page
  • Invoices and estimates
  • Job requests and communications

Set Your Services

  1. Navigate to the "Services" section in settings

  2. Select all service categories that apply to your business:

    • Plumbing
    • Electrical
    • HVAC
    • Roofing
    • Painting
    • And many more...
  3. Add a description that explains what makes your services unique

License Information

If your trade requires licensing:

  1. Enter your license number in the designated field
  2. Add a license label (e.g., "State Contractor License", "Master Electrician")

This information displays on your public profile and adds credibility.

Public Profile URL

  1. Create your custom URL slug (e.g., blueclerk.com/acme-plumbing)
  2. Check availability - slugs must be unique
  3. Save to activate your public profile

Tips

  • Use a high-quality logo image (at least 400x400 pixels)
  • Write a compelling description that highlights your experience and specialties
  • Keep your contact information up to date
  • Add all relevant service categories to appear in more search results

Q: Is my public profile visible to everyone? A: Yes, your public profile can be viewed by anyone with the link. It helps homeowners learn about your business before contacting you.

Q: Can I have a business email different from my login email? A: Yes! Go to Settings > Business Email to add and verify a separate business email for invoices and customer communications.

Q: How do I change my company name? A: You can update your company name anytime in Settings > Company Profile. The change applies immediately to all future documents.
