Punch List Table View

Overview

The Punch List table view gives you a centralized view of all punch items across every property in your portfolio. See everything in one place, filter by status or property, sort by any column, add new items with the "+ Add Item" button, and click any row to open the edit dialog and view full details including contractor assignment.

Accessing the Punch List Table

1. Log in to your builder account
2. Click "Punch List" in the sidebar
3. View all punch items across all properties in table format

What You'll See

Summary Stats

At the top of the page, you'll see portfolio-wide counts:

• Total items across all properties
• Open items needing attention
• Critical open items requiring immediate action (if any)

Filter Controls

• Status filter - Show all statuses or filter to Open, Assigned, Fixed, or Verified
• Property filter - View all properties or focus on a single property's items
• Both filters work together to narrow down exactly what you need to see

Adding a New Punch Item

Using the "+ Add Item" Button

1. Click "+ Add Item" in the top-right corner of the page
2. Fill in the dialog:
   • Property: Select which property this item belongs to
   • Description: What needs to be fixed (required)
   • Trade: Select trade responsible (drywall, paint, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
   • Room: Specify location within the property (optional)
   • Severity: Choose Standard, Critical, or Cosmetic
3. Click "Create" to save the item
4. The item appears in the table immediately

Viewing and Editing Items

Click Any Row to Edit

1. Click anywhere on a row in the punch list table
2. The edit dialog opens showing:
   • All item details - property, description, trade, room, severity, status
   • Contractor assignment - who's assigned (if anyone) or company name for guest contractors
   • Status badge - current status color-coded
3. View-only mode - This dialog is for viewing details and seeing who's assigned
4. Click outside or close to return to the table

Items Created on Mobile

Punch items created on the mobile app automatically appear in this table view - no refresh needed. Everything stays in sync across web and mobile.

Table Columns

The table shows:

• Property - Address where the item is located
• Description - What needs to be fixed
• Trade - Which trade is responsible
• Room - Location within the property (if specified)
• Severity - Standard, Critical, or Cosmetic badge
• Status - Open, Assigned, Fixed, or Verified badge
• Created - When the item was added

Tips

• Use property filter to focus on one property during walkthrough
• Filter to Critical + Open to see urgent items needing immediate attention
• Click rows to quickly check contractor assignments
• Add items on the go - create items from mobile app and see them here instantly
• Sort by any column to organize items your way

Questions

Q: Can I edit items from this view? A: Not directly - click a row to view details. Full editing happens on the property detail page's Punch List tab.

Q: What's the difference between this and the property punch list tab? A: This shows ALL items across ALL properties. The property tab shows only items for that specific property, with full editing and verification actions.

Q: Can I bulk-select items here? A: Not yet - bulk actions are coming in a future update. For now, use filters to narrow down to specific groups.

Q: Do items created on mobile show up here automatically? A: Yes - items created via the mobile app appear in this table view immediately without needing to refresh.
