Speak your requests naturally, and the AI responds with short, clear spoken answers - perfect for job sites where typing isn't practical. Create customers, tickets, jobs, invoices, search your data, and get help entirely hands-free.
How to Use Voice Chat on Mobile
Starting a Voice Conversation
- Open the AI chat panel by tapping the sparkles icon in the header
- Tap the microphone button at the bottom of the chat input
- Allow microphone access when your phone prompts you
- Speak your request - the AI transcribes and processes it
- Hear the AI response spoken through your phone speaker
What You Can Say
Use the same natural language you'd use in text chat:
- Create records: "Add a customer named John Smith at 123 Main Street"
- Search data: "Show me all invoices from last week"
- Get information: "What's the status of ticket 1234?"
- Ask questions: "How much do we charge for HVAC tune-ups?"
How Voice Response Works
Spoken Response Types
The AI responds differently based on what you ask:
Confirmations - After you create something:
- Short confirmation of what was created
- Example: "Customer added. John Smith at 123 Main Street."
Questions - When the AI needs more info:
- Brief question asking for clarification
- Example: "Which property for this job?"
Information - When you search or ask questions:
- First sentence of the answer spoken aloud
- Full answer shown in text below
Response Length
Voice responses are intentionally short (1-3 sentences max) because:
- You're probably on a job site or driving
- Long spoken responses are hard to remember
- The full text is always visible in the chat for details
Tips for Best Results
Clear Audio
- Speak clearly in a normal voice
- Reduce background noise when possible
- Hold phone close if on a loud job site
- Use headphones for better audio in noisy environments
Natural Phrasing
- Speak naturally - don't use robot commands
- Be specific - include key details in one request
- Use names - reference customers and items by name
- Follow up - the AI remembers your conversation context
When to Use Voice vs Text
Use voice for:
- Quick updates on job sites
- Creating records while driving
- Hands-free work situations
- Simple searches and status checks
Use text for:
- Complex multi-step requests
- Reviewing detailed information
- Editing line items on estimates
- When you need to reference specific IDs
