Plan Preview Images

Overview

Preview images help sell your plans on the marketplace by showing potential buyers what they're getting. Upload multiple photos of elevations, floor plans, renderings, or completed homes. The first image you upload automatically becomes the plan thumbnail, and you can organize images with labels and custom sort order.

Uploading Preview Images

Adding Images to a Plan

1. Open your plan in the marketplace dashboard
2. Scroll to "Preview Images" section
3. Click "Upload Image"
4. Select one or more image files (JPG, PNG, or WebP - max 10MB each)
5. Choose a label from the dropdown before uploading:
   • Rendering - 3D visualizations or artist renderings
   • Floor Plan - Floor plan drawings
   • Elevation - Front, side, or rear elevation drawings
   • As Built Photo - Photos of completed homes built from this plan
6. Click "Upload" to add the images

The upload button is disabled until you select a label, ensuring every image is categorized.

What Happens After Upload

• Images upload in sequence - You'll see upload progress for each file
• Images display in a 4-column grid below the upload section
• Label badges appear on each image showing its category
• Sort order is assigned automatically based on upload sequence
• First image becomes the plan thumbnail automatically

Managing Preview Images

Viewing Images

All uploaded images display in a 4-column grid with:

• Image preview showing the uploaded photo
• Label badge in the top-left corner (Rendering, Floor Plan, Elevation, or As Built Photo)
• Delete button that appears when you hover over the image

Deleting Images

1. Hover over any image in the grid
2. Click the X button that appears
3. Image is removed immediately
4. If you delete the first image, the second image becomes the new thumbnail

Organizing Images

Images display in the order you uploaded them. To reorganize:

• Delete images you want to reorder
• Re-upload them in your preferred sequence
• The first image in the grid is always the plan thumbnail

Image Requirements

• Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP
• Maximum file size: 10MB per image
• Recommended dimensions: At least 1200px wide for best quality
• Aspect ratio: Any ratio works, but 16:9 or 4:3 look best in the grid

Plan Thumbnails

The first image in your preview images grid is automatically used as the plan thumbnail:

• Shows in marketplace catalog listings
• Displays on plan detail pages
• Appears in search results
• Used in social media previews

To change your thumbnail, delete the current first image - the next image becomes the new thumbnail.

Tips

• Start with your best image - It becomes the thumbnail and is the first thing buyers see
• Label accurately - Buyers filter by image type, so correct labels help them find what they need
• Include variety - Mix renderings, floor plans, and elevations to give a complete picture
• Show completed homes - As Built Photos prove the plan has been successfully built
• Use high-quality images - Clear, professional photos sell better than blurry or low-resolution images

Questions

Q: Can I upload multiple images at once? A: Yes, select multiple files when uploading. They'll all use the same label you selected.

Q: What if I don't have renderings or elevations? A: No problem - upload what you have. Even just floor plan pages help buyers understand the layout.

Q: Can I change an image's label after uploading? A: Not currently - delete and re-upload with the correct label if needed.

Q: How many images can I upload? A: There's no hard limit, but 8-12 images is usually enough to showcase a plan completely.

Q: What happens to my images when I archive a plan? A: Images are preserved with the archived plan and will reappear if you restore it.
