Enabling the Plan Marketplace

Set up your marketplace profile to sell architectural plans with proper licensing and payment

Overview

Before you can sell plans on the BlueClerk marketplace, you need to complete a setup flow that ensures you have proper branding, understand the terms, and have payment processing configured. This protects both you and your buyers by establishing clear terms and reliable payment handling.

Setup Requirements

Step 1: Upload Your Company Logo

Your logo is required before enabling the marketplace:

  1. Go to Settings > Company Profile
  2. Upload your company logo in the branding section
  3. Your logo will be used to watermark all plans you sell
  4. Return to the marketplace once uploaded

Why this matters: Your logo watermarks every plan, protecting your intellectual property and identifying you as the source.

Step 2: Subscribe to the Marketplace

Once you have a logo uploaded:

  1. Go to Builder > Profile in the sidebar
  2. Review the marketplace details:
    • How it works: Upload plans, set prices, earn 75% per sale
    • Revenue split: You keep 75%, BlueClerk takes 25%
    • Subscription: $29/month includes 200 AI scan credits
  3. Read and accept the terms:
    • Plans will be listed publicly on the marketplace
    • BlueClerk charges 25% commission on all sales
    • No refunds on purchased plans
    • All plans are watermarked with your logo
  4. Check the terms checkbox
  5. Click "Subscribe to Marketplace"
  6. Complete Stripe checkout for monthly billing

Step 3: Connect Your Bank Account

After subscribing, connect your bank account to receive payouts:

  1. From the Profile page, click "Connect Bank Account"
  2. Complete Stripe Connect onboarding:
    • Business information
    • Tax details (EIN or SSN)
    • Bank account for payouts
  3. Verify your identity as required by Stripe
  4. You're ready to sell once bank connection is complete

Marketplace Profile Status

Your profile page shows your current status:

  • No logo: Warning card blocks marketplace until logo is uploaded
  • Logo uploaded, not subscribed: Shows subscription details and terms to accept
  • Active subscription: Shows status, scan credits remaining, and bank account connection
  • Payment failed: Red warning card prompts you to update payment method

Managing Your Subscription

View Scan Credits

Your profile page shows how many AI scan credits you have remaining. Subscriptions include 200 credits per month, which reset on your billing date.

If your subscription payment fails:

  1. A red warning card appears on your profile page
  2. Click "Update Payment Method"
  3. Enter new card details in Stripe
  4. Your subscription resumes automatically

  • Keep payment method current - Failed payments pause your marketplace access
  • Monitor scan credits - Upload plans in batches to make efficient use of your monthly credits
