Overview

The Browser Extension integration lets you import service orders from third-party portals like iFit and Dispatch.me directly into BlueClerk. Generate a secure connection code, install the extension in Chrome, and start importing work orders with one click - no manual data entry required.

How It Works

One-Time Setup

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Find "Browser Extension" card
  3. Click "Generate Connection Code"
  4. Copy the code - it expires in 10 minutes
  5. Download the extension from the provided link
  6. Install in Chrome:
    • Unzip the downloaded file
    • Go to chrome://extensions
    • Enable "Developer mode"
    • Click "Load unpacked" and select the extension folder
  7. Enter your connection code in the extension when prompted

Importing Service Orders

Once connected:

  1. Navigate to iFit or Dispatch.me portal in Chrome
  2. Open a service order you want to import
  3. Click the BlueClerk extension icon
  4. Click "Import to BlueClerk"
  5. BlueClerk creates:
    • Customer record
    • Property with address
    • Ticket with work details
    • Equipment records if applicable

Managing Connection

Check Connection Status

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. See "Browser Extension" card status:
    • Connected badge if active
    • Last import time shown when available

Disconnect Extension

  1. Open Browser Extension card
  2. Click "Disconnect"
  3. Your connection code is revoked - extension will no longer import data

Reconnecting

If your connection expires or you disconnect:

  1. Click "Generate New Code"
  2. Enter the new code in the extension settings
  3. You're reconnected - resume importing

Security

  • Connection codes expire after 10 minutes if unused
  • Company prefix included in codes for easy identification
  • One active connection per user at a time
  • Revoke anytime from the integrations page

Supported Portals

Currently supported:

  • iFit Technician Portal - Import HVAC and fitness equipment service orders
  • Dispatch.me - Import field service work orders
  • More portals coming soon

Questions

Q: Can multiple team members use the extension?
A: Yes - each team member generates their own connection code and installs the extension on their browser.

Q: What happens if my code expires?
A: Just generate a new code from the integrations page and enter it in the extension.

Q: Does the extension work in other browsers?
A: Currently Chrome only - Firefox and Edge support coming soon.

Q: Can I import multiple orders at once?
A: Currently one order at a time - bulk import is on the roadmap.
