Visualize your scheduled work on a map or calendar

Overview

BlueClerk offers Map and Calendar views to help you visualize your scheduled jobs and service tickets. See where your work is located geographically, or view your schedule by day, week, or month.

Map View

What It Shows

  • Color-coded pins for jobs and tickets by status
  • Jobs: Blue (In Progress), Green (Completed), Gray (Scheduled), Red (Cancelled), Orange (Rescheduled)
  • Service Tickets: Orange pins
  • Click any pin to see job details, customer, address, and scheduled date

Using the Map

  1. Go to Schedule in the main navigation
  2. Select "Map View" tab
  3. Filter by date to see specific day's work
  4. Zoom and pan to focus on specific areas
  5. Click pins for quick job details

Calendar View

What It Shows

  • Day, Week, or Month views of scheduled work
  • Color-coded entries by job status
  • Job details on each calendar entry
  • Time slots for day and week views

Using the Calendar

  1. Go to Schedule in the main navigation
  2. Select "Calendar View" tab
  3. Choose view type: Day, Week, or Month
  4. Click any job to see full details
  5. Navigate dates with arrows or date picker

Day View

Shows all jobs scheduled for a single day:

  • Hourly breakdown with specific time slots
  • Multiple jobs visible if scheduled same day
  • Best for: Planning your daily route

Week View

Shows a week at a glance:

  • 7 days side-by-side
  • Jobs grouped by day
  • Best for: Weekly planning and resource allocation

Month View

Shows the full month:

  • All scheduled days visible
  • Job count per day
  • Best for: Long-term planning and capacity

Mobile Map View

On the Go

When using BlueClerk on mobile:

  • My Route shows your assigned jobs for the day
  • Interactive map displays job locations with lat/lng coordinates
  • Turn-by-turn planning: See your stops in order
  • One-tap navigation: Click a pin to open in your maps app
  • Status updates: Mark arrival and completion from the map

Viewing Your Route

  1. Open BlueClerk on your mobile device
  2. Tap "My Route" for today's date
  3. See your stops on the map in order
  4. Tap any stop to see details or navigate
  5. Update status as you complete work

Tips

  • Plan efficient routes: Use map view to group nearby jobs together
  • Share with team: Screenshot map or calendar to communicate daily plans
  • Check capacity: Month view shows if you're overbooked
  • Update in real-time: Status changes reflect immediately on map and calendar
  • Mobile routing: Use mobile map view to navigate between stops efficiently

Questions

Q: Can I drag jobs to reschedule them on the calendar? A: Not directly. To reschedule, open the job and change its scheduled date. It will update on the calendar automatically.

Q: Why don't I see a job on the map? A: The property needs a valid address with coordinates. If the address is incomplete or incorrect, the pin won't appear.

Q: Can customers see my route? A: No. Map and calendar views are internal to your company. Customers only see their own job status.

Q: What if I have multiple jobs at the same address? A: The map will show one pin with multiple jobs listed when you click it. The calendar will show each job separately.

Q: Does the mobile map work offline? A: You need an internet connection to load the map and job details, but your device's maps app (Google Maps, Apple Maps) can provide offline navigation once opened.
