Configure a separate inbox for widget submission emails instead of using your main contact email

Overview

When homeowners submit job requests through your website widget, BlueClerk sends notification emails to your company's contact email by default. The Widget Notification Email override lets you route these submissions to a different inbox - perfect for contractors with dedicated appointments@, leads@, or info@ addresses that aren't the primary admin's email.

Why Use a Separate Email?

Setting Up Widget Notification Email

Accessing Widget Settings

  1. Go to Settings in your contractor dashboard
  2. Click "Website Widget" tab
  3. Scroll to "Where Should Submissions Go?" card

Configuring the Email

  1. Enter the email address where you want widget submissions sent
  2. Leave blank to use your company's main contact email (default behavior)
  3. Click "Save" to update

How It Works

  • When set: Widget submissions email the override address
  • When blank: Widget submissions fall back to your company's contact email from Settings > Company Profile
  • Both work: You can use the same email in both places if you prefer centralized routing

Testing the Configuration

After saving your widget notification email:

  1. Embed the widget on a test page (see Website Widget guide for embed code)
  2. Submit a test request through the widget
  3. Check your configured inbox for the notification email
  4. Verify it lands in the right place
