Questions

Q: Can I have multiple profile URLs? A: No, each contractor company has one unique profile URL based on your company name and location. If you need to change it, contact support.

Q: How do I remove my profile from the directory? A: Go to Settings > Public Profile and toggle "Show in Directory" to OFF. Your direct profile URL will still work, but you won't appear in directory searches.

Q: Do I need to verify my business to have a public profile? A: No, but verified businesses display a verification badge on their profile, which builds trust with potential customers.

Q: Can customers contact me directly from my profile? A: Yes, your public profile displays your phone number and email (if you've added them). Customers can also submit job requests through BlueClerk that route directly to you.

Q: How often do Google reviews update on my profile? A: Google reviews sync automatically every 24 hours. If you just received a new review, it may take up to a day to appear on your BlueClerk profile.

title: "Job Match Emails" category: "Homeowners" description: "Receive email notifications when contractors near you match your job request"

Overview

When you post a job request to the BlueClerk marketplace, we automatically send you email notifications about contractors in your area who can help. These job match emails connect you with qualified contractors within 50 miles of your project - no need to search yourself.

How Job Match Emails Work

Automatic Matching

When you create a job request:

  1. BlueClerk searches for contractors within 50 miles of your property
  2. We filter by the type of work you need (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
  3. We send you emails introducing up to 3 contractors who match
  4. You review their profiles and decide who to contact

What You Receive

Each job match email includes:

  • Contractor name and company
  • Distance from your property
  • Services they offer
  • Link to their profile with reviews, photos, and contact info
  • Link to start a conversation directly in BlueClerk

Email Frequency

To avoid overwhelming you:

  • Maximum 3 contractors per job request
  • 7-day cooldown - you won't receive another match email for 7 days after receiving one
  • One email per contractor - we won't send the same contractor twice for the same job

Reviewing Matched Contractors

Check Their Profile

Click the profile link in the email to see:
