Creating a BlueClerk account is your first step toward streamlining your contracting business. Whether you're a contractor looking to manage jobs and customers, a homeowner seeking reliable service providers, or a builder managing warranty work, BlueClerk has you covered. All registrations are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent spam and abuse.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Sign Up with Email

1. Visit the sign-up page - Go to app.blueclerk.com and click "Sign Up"

2. Choose your account type - Select what describes you best:

   • Homeowner - Individual property owner
   • Individual Contractor - Self-employed tradesperson
   • Contractor Company - Contracting business with employees
   • Builder - Home construction company managing subdivisions

3. Fill in your information:

   • Name - Your full name
   • Email - Your email address (used for login)
   • Password - Minimum 8 characters
   • Confirm Password - Re-enter your password

4. Complete the Turnstile challenge - A Cloudflare Turnstile widget appears automatically and verifies you're human with minimal friction (usually no interaction needed)

5. Click "Create Account"

6. Check your email - You'll receive a verification link (if email verification is enabled)

7. Click the verification link to activate your account

Sign Up with Google

1. Click "Sign in with Google" on the sign-up page
2. Select your Google account
3. Authorize BlueClerk if prompted
4. Choose your account type (homeowner, contractor, builder)
5. Your account is created and you're signed in automatically

Bot Protection

Cloudflare Turnstile

BlueClerk uses Cloudflare Turnstile to verify you're a real person during registration:

• Automatic verification - Most users won't see any challenge at all
• Invisible to legitimate users - No solving puzzles or clicking fire hydrants
• Blocks automated signups - Prevents spam accounts and abuse
• Production-only - Turnstile verification runs in production; development/test environments use a test key that always passes

If Turnstile verification fails (rare), you'll see an error message. Simply refresh the page and try again.

What Happens Next

Contractor Accounts

After creating a contractor account:

• Complete your company profile - Add your business info and logo
• Set up your services - Select the trades you offer
• Import your data - Bring in customers and price book (optional)
• Invite your team - Add employees and technicians

Homeowner Accounts

After creating a homeowner account:

• Add your property - Enter your home address
• Request work - Post jobs to the marketplace or contact contractors directly
• View work history - See all maintenance records for your property

Builder Accounts

After creating a builder account:

• Add your subdivisions - Organize properties by development
• Upload construction plans - Track phases and progress
• Coordinate with contractors - Manage warranty work and punch lists

Troubleshooting

Didn't receive verification email?

1. Check your spam folder
2. Wait a few minutes - emails can be delayed
3. Request a new verification link from the login page
4. Contact support if issues persist

Turnstile challenge not appearing?

1. Refresh the page
2. Disable ad blockers temporarily
3. Try a different browser if the issue persists
4. Contact support - we can verify your account manually

Password requirements not met?

Your password must be:

• At least 8 characters long
• No other requirements - use a strong, unique password

Security

• Passwords are encrypted - We never store passwords in plain text
• Email verification - Confirms you own the email address
• Secure authentication - Industry-standard bcrypt hashing
• Bot protection - Turnstile prevents automated abuse
