Mobile App Promotion & Download

Overview

The BlueClerk mobile app lets your field techs run their entire day from their phone - schedule jobs, check in and out, take photos, collect payments, and work offline. The app is available for both iOS (App Store) and Android (Play Store).

Finding the Mobile App

From Your Dashboard

When you first log in as a contractor, you'll see a dismissible banner at the top of your dashboard:

1. Review the mobile app features described in the banner
2. Click "See downloads →" to visit the /mobile page with download links
3. Click "Not interested" to hide the banner permanently (stored in your browser)
4. Click the X to close the banner for this session

The banner only appears on your first dashboard visit and can be permanently dismissed.

From Your Welcome Email

Your welcome email includes a prominent mobile app callout:

1. Check your email after signing up for BlueClerk
2. Find the "Get the Mobile App" card near the top (shown before feature highlights)
3. Click the card to visit the /mobile landing page with App Store and Play Store links

This callout only appears for contractor account types.

From the /mobile Landing Page

Visit the dedicated mobile app page directly:

1. Go to blueclerk.com/mobile
2. Review app features and screenshots
3. Click "Download on the App Store" for iOS devices
4. Click "Get it on Google Play" for Android devices

Mobile App Features

• Job scheduling - See your day's appointments and directions
• Check-in/check-out - Log arrival and departure times automatically
• Photo capture - Take before/after photos and attach to jobs
• Payment collection - Accept cards, cash, or checks on-site
• Offline mode - Works without internet; syncs when connected
• Real-time updates - Changes sync instantly between web and mobile

Questions

Q: Do I need the mobile app to use BlueClerk? A: No, the web app has all features. The mobile app is designed for field techs who work on-site and need quick access on their phones.

Q: Can I dismiss the dashboard banner permanently? A: Yes, click "Not interested" and it will never appear again in that browser. Clearing localStorage or using a new browser will show it once more.

Q: Will the banner keep coming back? A: No. Once dismissed, the banner is permanently hidden via localStorage. It respects your preference and won't nag you.
