QA Audits

View automated UI/UX review reports from scheduled audits

Overview

The QA Audits page shows automated UI/UX reviews of the BlueClerk platform. These audits run automatically twice per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8am CT) and help identify potential bugs, usability issues, and areas for improvement across key pages in the app.

Accessing QA Audits

  1. Log in with an admin account
  2. Navigate to /admin/qa/audits
  3. View the report list with most recent audits first

Understanding Audit Reports

Report Overview

Each report shows:

  • Date: When the audit was performed
  • Bugs Found: Count of pages with issues identified
  • Top Priority: The most critical issue found (if any)

Page Reviews

Click any report to expand and see individual page reviews:

  • Page Name: Which page was audited (e.g., "Dashboard", "Companies Table", "Job Creation Form")
  • Analysis: Detailed findings about bugs, usability issues, or UX concerns
  • Status: Green checkmark (OK) or red X (issues found)

Color Coding

  • Green badge: No bugs found in this audit
  • Red badge: One or more bugs identified

What Gets Audited

The automated reviewer checks:

  • Key user workflows: Job creation, invoicing, customer management
  • Data tables: Companies, tickets, jobs, invoices
  • Admin pages: Operations dashboard, settings
  • Homeowner and contractor portals: Marketplace, requests, messages

Audit Schedule

  • Runs: Every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am Central Time
  • Automatic: No manual action required
  • History: Last 20 reports are kept and displayed

Tips

  • Check after updates: New reports appear after each scheduled run
  • Review top priority: The most critical issue is highlighted at the top of each report
  • Track trends: Compare reports over time to see if recurring issues exist

Questions

Q: Who can see QA Audits? A: Only admin users have access to the QA Audits page.

Q: Are these real bugs or just potential issues? A: The audits are performed by an AI reviewer analyzing the UI. Issues flagged may be bugs, usability concerns, or edge cases worth investigating - not all are confirmed bugs.

Q: Can I run an audit manually? A: Currently audits run automatically on the scheduled days. Manual triggering is not available in the UI.

Q: What happens when a bug is found? A: Audit results are posted to the team's Slack channel and stored in the database. The development team reviews flagged issues and prioritizes fixes accordingly.
